Have you just gotten engaged and are you considering getting married in Italy? In this page you will find some important tips, information and details on how to plan a stress-free destination wedding in Italy.
Italy Destinations for weddings
I get contacted daily by couples who live abroad and that want to get married or elope in my beautiful country. Many of these couples have never been in Italy, and they need advices and directions to enjoy fully what Italy has to offer.
Even if Italy is a small state, we have 59 UNESCO world heritage sites, more than any other country in the world.
So when you decide to get married in Italy, you need to decide where you want to get married specifically.
In my long experience I had the chance to plan destination weddings in some of the most beautiful locations we have to offer like the Dolomites, Venice, Lake Garda, the Prosecco hills, Tuscany, Lake Como, Umbria, Puglia, Sardinia, Verona and much more.
We have mountains, valleys, lakes, seas and historical cities that are unmatched anywhere else on Earth.
When is the best time to get married in Italy
Any season or period of the year could be the best time for you to get married in Italy. I have planned weddings in any month of the year with wonderful results.
The majority of the couples ask me to get married from May to September, as they believe the weather forecast is going to be more stable than other months. This is not always true. I have been planning weddings from almost 10 years. Sometimes I had April weddings that had a nicer weather compared to May weddings. My suggestion is to get married in October, as recently our fall season has been perfect for weddings (sunny but not too hot).
I also get contacted by many couples who would like to plan their snow weddings in winter. I have planned a lot of these weddings, they are very romantic and unique. Contact me to have more information on how I can help you get married in Italy.
What are the rules to get married in Italy?
To plan a wedding in Italy requires a lot of knowledge of the rules that every single area has, as part of the geographical location you choose to get married in. For this reason, my suggestion is always to rely on a professional planner that can guide you through the process. Your wedding day is going to be one of the best days of your lives, and the process should be stress-free. I sometimes get messages from couples who tried to plan their own destination weddings in Italy with no knowledge of the area or the regulations, ending up not having what they were expecting.
